How to place a special order with us - UK Spec Vehicles.

If you would like to place a special order with us, please
read the following page thoroughly. It fully explains how our
company operates, and what is expected of you, the customer.
IMPORTING FROM THE UK
Bluchip will help you discover what your vehicle requirements are
and what options are available.

We are more than happy to visit you in the comfort of your own home, or if you prefer, we can meet at our offices at Southside. You can also
conduct the whole transaction online via email. The choice is yours.
STEP 1 - DECIDING WHAT YOU WANT
We will help you draw up a detailed specification of your new vehicle, including all the optional extras, and establish your maximum budget and mileage, you wish us to work to. Once your budget has been agreed we will not go over your budget. If the final bill does come out above your agreed budget, then the extra cash comes directly out of our profit margin we are making on your car. You will not be asked for any extra cash.
STEP 2 - SPECIFY YOUR NEW VEHICLE
For all UK special orders we require a 25% deposit when the order is placed. Up to the point where we actually purchase your car in the UK, your deposit is fully refundable. We have access to 500,000+ cars each week in the UK, and considerable effort is taken by us to find exactly the right car for you. This process may take several days or weeks. On occasion we may even be able to find the right car for you the same day you placed the order. Either way, the deposit shows your commitment to the whole process and reduces wasted effort.
STEP 3 - ORDERING WITH BLUCHIP
4) Online checks

Once you order has been received and you have paid your 25% deposit we will actively look for a car that matches your ideal specification. Once a suitable car has been found we will make contact with the seller, be it a trade only seller, a private individual or a car supermarket.

We will discuss the vehicle with the seller on your behalf and establish the overall
condition of the vehicle and relay this information back to you with images of the vehicle.

If we are happy that the seller is legitimate and the car is said to be in good condition we will conduct our own online checks to make sure the vehicle doesn't have any of the following issues marked against it.

Not recorded as currently stolen on the Police National Computer Database.

Not at high risk of fraud or theft.

No finance agreement found on the vehicle.

No insurance write-off details found.

No mileage discrepancies from the National database.

The cars year / engine / colour / trim level / transmission and fuel type will also be checked
If all of this checks out, and we are satisfied everything is in order we will
arrange a full inspection. The cars chassis number will also be checked with up to date records.
STEP 4 - ORDERING WITH BLUCHIP
5) Vehicle Inspection

We will send a fully trained mechanic from one of our UK partners to fully inspect and road test the vehicle we plan to buy on your behalf. If our mechanics cannot visit the car for whatever reason we will employ the services of an independent car inspection firm to undertake the work for us.









Once the report / verbal inspection has been received back we will discuss the matter with you and make you aware of any problems with the car. Between us we will make a decision as to whether or not it is worth purchasing the vehicle. If the car is good, we move on to step 6, If it is not we go back to step 3 and find another vehicle to import that is better condition etc.
We have only once, in 10 years of trading, not purchased a car after conducting all the checks !
STEP 5 - VEHICLE INSPECTION
Once we have decided on a car to purchase, Bluchip will place a deposit with the seller to secure the car, using our credit card, or by cheque or bank transfer.

It is at this point we require another 50% from you. This money will be deposited into our account and then transfered either to the seller (if a legitimate reputable garage) or to our UK partner who will pay for the car in cash upon collection (for private sales)
STEP 6 - MID PAYMENT
Once the seller in the UK has received full payment the car will be released by them, ready for our collection.









We have a team based down in the South of England who have moved over 700 of our cars in the UK and who we trust implicitly. We have tried other companies in the past, with poor service and results, so now we only trust one company to handle the UK collection of our cars, even if it does cost that little bit extra if the car is further away - it's better than having to deal with damaged cars, put it that way !

All necessary paperwork used for local registration will be left in the car by the seller, and the documents will be checked by our team on collection.

The car will be collected from the seller and delivered down to Portsmouth docks where the car will await shipment by Commodore.
STEP 7 - UK COLLECTION AND SHIPPING
Once we have your new car in Guernsey we will undertake a further inspection and arrange to have it fully serviced.

We have our own service centre in Guernsey and most of the parts we need come direct from Guernsey Motor Spares who keep all the service parts.

If needed we will also arrange for it to be valeted.

Whilst all the above is happening the work will be in at Motor Tax ensuring
the vehicle is registered in your name and new black and silver
number plates are fitted.
STEP 8 - LOCAL INSPECTION / SERVICING / VALET / REGISTRATION / NUMBER PLATES
Once your car has been fully prepared and registered, you will be presented with your new car and invited to take it out for a test drive. On return from the test drive and when you are 100% happy with the car, - we will of course request the final payment of 25%. Your final payment will never exceed the agreed 25%, but if we have made any savings along the way, these savings will be reflected in your last payment.

STEP 9- FINAL PAYMENT
Our reputation is everything to us, and we will do everything in our power to make sure that the car you ordered is in perfect condition when it is presented to you.

If you can find any major fault with the car we have supplied to you, on delivery (ie damaged engine / damaged body work / stolen / etc) we will in the first instance endeavour to repair the car and restore it back to pristine condition as part of the agreed price.

Our full money back guarantee does not extend to minor faults or matters out of our control.

All minor faults with the car will be dealt with accordingly.

We have in the past been ordered to give money back for the following reasons which are not applicable !

The car is too wide and does not fit through my new gateway !

The car is too high and my 8 year old child cannot get into it properly !

The car is the wrong shade of blue !

I need a 7 seater rather than a 5 seater now !

The car does not have remote central locking !

The car is limited to 112.5 miles per hour !

The windows are tinted !

We don't like the name of the dealer you are buying from it sounds
weird, so please cancel the order !

There is no wheel locking tool with the vehicle so i want a full refund !

As any normal person will understand, giving a full refund for the above such items is quite difficult and does worry us slightly !!!

We will advise you of the full spec, colour, mileage, condtion etc before you purchase, backed up with photo's from the auction, so items like the above cannot bring the money back guarantee into play. The money back guarantee is there for what we consider to be major problems only.

Everything can be fixed, but assuming there are major faults with the car and you are still not happy with the vehicle then we will refund your initial 25% deposit + your 50% middle payment and you can walk away from the deal, no questions asked, having lost nothing. The money back guarantee is applicable for 7 days after your initial purchase. We have imported over 1,000 vehicles and have never once been asked to legitimately give money back due to a major fault with our cars. This is testiment to the high quality cars we import and should give you 100% confidence in the cars that we supply.

However, it could be that your circumstances have changed or you have just changed your mind about the car. Some people have unfortunately lost their jobs, or simply can't afford to pay the final payment on the car.

In these circumstances we will be happy to assist you and help you sell your car on commission on our forecourt. Once the car has been sold we will then return the majority of your outlay to you.
